Bike the Asheville Butterfly Trail with Guide Sandy Broadwill

  • Asheville Visitor Center 36 Montford Avenue Asheville, NC, 28801 United States (map)

Pre-registration required.

Cost: FREE (10 person limit)

The Asheville Butterfly Trail took flight in the summer of 2024, just in time for Hurricane Helene to test in wings! Five Trail stations have been installed throughout Buncombe County with at least five more planned. Meet your guide at the lower Asheville Visitor Center parking lot to begin your bike tour and learn how each butterfly species has its own distinct “personality.” You will visit two other Trail stations—the Common Buckeye on the greenway on Weaver Boulevard, and the Summer Azure at the Audubon Sanctuary at Beaver Lake.
