Reems Creek Nursery’s Asheville Butterfly Trail Station Ribbon Cutting

  • Reems Creek Nursery 76 Monticello Rd, Weaverville, NC 28787 United States (map)

Cost: Free

Help Reems Creek Nursery launch the second station on the Asheville Butterfly Trail and take your photo with the giant human-sized Gulf Fritillary Butterfly in their Pollinator Garden.

Come early or stay late for lunch! The Po Wagon food truck featuring creole cuisine, will be at the Nursery from 10:30 – 2:30.

Throughout human history, butterflies have represented hope, change and rebirth. We write poems about them and sometimes even release them at weddings! But butterflies also help us learn about biodiversity, pollination ecology, sustainability, metamorphosis and co-evolution. The butterflies featured on the Asheville Butterfly Trail are native to Western North Carolina and each offers a lesson.

This Trail is only possible with the generous support of donors, researchers, photographers, and designers. We are grateful to each of them!
