Flowers Everywhere

  • Dr. John Wilson Community Garden 99 White Pine Drive Black Mountain, Nc United States (map)

Cost: $40 in advance, $50 at the door, $25 for students

Come celebrate renewal and relationships in the Dr. John Wilson Community Garden as we approach the one year anniversary of Helene. Our theme, FLOWERS EVERYWHERE, was inspired by our response to flooding in the garden – we moved forward with a renewed vision, transforming the impacted part of the garden from washed out beds into a blooming field of flowers.

Emily Sampson wil lead tours at the Black Mountain Veterans Park Monarch Waystation where 200+ common milkweed are blooming and the monarch butterflies are laying eggs! We also are over the moon to be growing food again for our partner Bounty and Soul, having donated over 600 pounds of produce in 2025 so far, to be distributed to food insecure communities in our region. Thank you to all of our interns, volunteers and contributors that have made this all possible.
