Bee sweet! Create a smorgasbord of beautiful blooming plants and butterfly host plants that provide much-needed habitat for pollinators, butterflies, and hummingbirds. With an emphasis on native plants, these vibrant gardens are full of color, support wildlife, and bring you delight throughout the season. Even a small, dedicated habitat will call in the pollinators and transform your garden – bringing it to life. Plant it and they will come!
One garden at a time, every little bit of habitat we create makes our world a better place.
Julie Wynne: A Georgia native, Julie has developed a deep love and passion for all plants and especially native plants. She is a NC Certified Plant Professional, has been a member of the Reems Creek Nursery staff for 8 years, and now serves as the Perennial Department Coordinator. She spends her spare time hiking and wildflower-journaling and loves organic vegetable gardening.
Ruth Gonzalez: Ruth has actively gardened since her college years – organic gardening, pollinator habitat, and the wonderment of nature are her passions. A sometimes artist, occasional garden designer, and a NC Certified Plant Professional, Ruth has worked at Reems Creek Nursery since 2003. She is especially inspired by those gardening practices that nurture the planet and its creatures, and reignite our connection to beauty, delight, and all of nature.
